The Whitbeck Motel - A REVIEW

The Whitbeck Motel is a unique, private estate where you are free to enjoy your special time in splendid circumstances. It’s a vibrant and exclusive houseparty, an elegant hideaway, the essence of rustic splendor, luxury and whimsy amid nearby Ozark mountain wilderness. Quite simply, it’s The Whitbeck Motel.

Every spring, the well-heeled of the Gilded Age came to Springdale seeking this poultry Mecca for its unique lures of the high society including egg tosses, chicken plucking, and neck wringing. The Whitbeck Motel was the most stately of the motels that sprang up to serve them. An old-fashioned southern home with interlocked red brick, and overhead, a dazzling blue blanket of sky, this destination was as lovely and genteel as a rose on a lapel.

The time has come for the much-anticipated re-opening of the Whitbeck Motel. Andrew Whitbeck and his loving wife Ann have developed a part of the past to compliment a 21st century structure, aiming to resurrect the historical attributes of the Springdale culture of old. At this unique Arkansas motel the legacy of the community and the modern meet, surprisingly at home in each other’s arms. The foundation of the design communicates a strong sense of place, encouraging tradition and heritage to take a presiding role, while its modernization is punctuated with craftsmanship of the Ozark artistry. The historic resort resides along Tyson Park boasting countless number of activities to take in the revitalizing air.

The main building is being remodeled to be a remarkable lodge, different in shape and layout from the original but true in spirit. It will offer the finest accommodations and dining in a truly idyllic setting; accompanied by the renowned service. The doors to much of the lodge were able to open early this summer as construction is going well.

Walk the shady, oak-vaulted streets you’ll find although it has no contemporary the Whitbeck Motel is simply an old-fashioned home in a historic town. A place where you can find a hearty handshake and pitchers of sweet tea in the afternoon. The Whitbeck Motel it’s where the south’s finest hospitality awaits you.
